Marcia, Robb, Emma, and Wyatt came down to St. George to spend a few days with us.  We love to have them here.  Robb took Wyatt out on the side-by-side for a ride, while Marcia and Emma went shopping and swimming.  Jay and I served at Brighams and Jacobs on those days.  We loved the hugs and kisses that the grandkids give us.

Saturday, Feb 22 was another special day for us.  We were serving at the visitor center from 9 to 3.  Some of the sisters asked if we would drive them over to Brighams home on our way home. As  we turned onto Brighams street, Jay saw President and Sister Uchtdorf walk into Michael Bedards art studio.  We decided it would be fun to walk over to the studio and let the sisters meet him and his wife.  We all felt blessed to have been there just at that moment to see them and then be able to go and visit for a few minutes.  Another blessing we received for serving here in St. George.

Janice and Spencer are driving back from Arizona so they stopped to see us and we went on a drive to one of the historic sites with them.

The almond trees at Brighams are in blossom.  I was surprised to see them the day we were there so I had to take a picture to remind me that spring was coming soon.
Our friends the Cannons are going home.  They have faithfully served for 18 months.  We have really enjoyed getting to know them.  We took pictures of them and the other Senior missionaries on the temple grounds one afternoon.

The month of February really went by fast.  We enjoyed serving at the historical sites and the St. George temple visitor center.  On Tuesday, Feb 4 Jay had a tour with 4 non-members and a mother and her 3 girls.  At the end of his tour the mother asked if she could play the organ and let her little girls sing.  The tabernacle is such a special place for things like this to happen.  The mother played
"I am a child of God."  Her little girls sang the song with her and I know I was really touched as I had a hard time holding back the tears.  I just hoped the other visitors could feel the spirit too.
Later that week on our P-day, Jay and I drove up to Gunlock and back down through Dameron valley and snow canyon.  We just needed to get away and relax.  It was a nice drive.  We had another chance to serve at the Tabernacle and two choirs came into the building and sang.  I love to have days like this.  The Tabernacle is a wonderful place where the talents of the past and present can be shared.
Lt. colonel Ramsdell spoke that night in the tabernacle and talked about his experiences in writing his book "Train to Potevka".
On Feb. 10 we had another interesting experience.  We were serving at Brighams home, when I noticed a elderly woman walking up the sidewalk.  She was holding onto the fence as she walked.  I became concerned so I walked out to talk to her.  She told me she was walking to the park to see her mother and her sister.  There was no park anywhere near Brighams home.  She told me her name was Mildred and she was getting tired.  I tried to get her to go sit on the porch, but she was afraid of the men in the yard.  She thought they were going to hurt her.  The men were Jay and Elder Sutherland.  I finally got her to turn around and she said she loved me and kissed my hand.  Jay got in the car and drove to a retirement home down the street.  He came back with a women who worked there.  She recognized "Millie".  They drove "Millie"  back to the home.  When Jay returned, he said Millie called him a nice man and thanked him for helping her find her way home.
Another really special day was when Tori received her mission call.  The call was sent to her home in Perry. She was waiting for it to come while she was going to Dixie and down here in St. George.  She decided that it would be okay if her father, Bick opened her mission call and read it to her.  She was watching her dad read the mission call on her Ipad.  We were so happy to be a part of that special day.

Kari and the kids came down to St. george over the week end.  Lisa, Mandee and Tyson came too.  It was fun to have them all here with us.  I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures.
