We have been waiting for two months for the pomegranats to ripen at Brighams home.
We finally picked one yesterday. The sisters says they are pretty tasty.
This is the telegraph in Brighams office. It was his way of communicating with church headquarters in Salt Lake City. It is so important for us to keep in contact with our Father in Heaven. We need to keep those lines of communication open without any interference from outside sources. He communicates with us through the Holy Ghost and a still small voice.
Cotton was a very important industry for the Saints when they came to southern Utah. It was hard work but for a time it paid off. After the railroad came to Utah, it was cheaper to buy cotton products from the South and have them shipped into Utah. Sometimes in life we find ourselves putting alot of time and energy into things that are not really benefical to us. We need to step back and reevaluate where we are going and then decide to move on to what is really important in our lives.
The metal rod in this tree is called a turnbuckle. It is holding this 100 yr old mulberry tree together. It is quite a historical site in Brighams yard. We remind the visitors that this is like the gospel of Jesus Christ. It holds our families together and keeps us from falling away. We are so blessed to have the restored church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

This is a picture of Brigham Youngs home and office. We enjoy serving here and sharing the gospel with people all over the world. You can see the mulberry tree on the left side of this picture.
